Exposed Aggregate Cement Installation Process

First, old concrete or grass is removed. After the forms are installed, we lay down 21AA crushed concrete and compact it to provide a solid base. Then, steel rods get installed throughout the entire project to reinforce the concrete and a special 7-bag mix concrete with pea stone aggregate is used. After properly poured and finished, a surface retarder will be applied to keep the surface of the concrete soft. The following day, the concrete gets sawcut and power washed to expose the natural beauty of the aggregate. Once the surface dries, the stain of your choice will be applied to the borders and the concrete sealant will be instilled to the entire surface.

Fred and his crew were awesome to work with! Fred was very punctual when he came out for the initial estimate. I was looking for driveway extensions, retaining wall for a small landscape bed, a walkway around the house, and a patio all in stamped concrete. We pulled out an old wooden deck and had a stamped concrete patio installed. Ruggero made a piece of art! It’s better than expectations. We live on a hill and he made it fit perfectly. They installed driveway extensions, back patio, and walkway. They did an amazing job. I’m in love with the resulting product. I appreciated how helpful Fred was through the process. My family used Ruggero this past summer for our patio, retaining wall, front steps, pavement and side pathway. They stated the work early in the morning and the project was completed withing a day or two. The workers were very professional and hard working during the hot summer days. Their office was very reasonable compared to other competitors. I chose them because my wife saw the work of another home in our sub dividing and the work was done nicely. In a world where you often have a hard time getting a construction contractor to call you back, this experience was amazing with beautiful work! Fred was able to design a beautiful patio that has transformed our home. The whole process was very easy and not disruptive to our day to day life. They were quick, efficient, and professional.
